This unit is housed in Programme 2 and it partially contributes towards achieving Outcome 2 (Increased contribution of the sector to the GDP and lowering of unemployment rates) through improving land available for production and job creation. 

Purpose

To provide engineering support according to industry standards with regard to irrigation, on-farm mechanization, value adding, farm structures and resource conservation management.

Services and Functions

The specific functions performed by this unit include mechanisation planning and construction of infrastructure such as irrigation systems, green houses, processing facilities and other farm structures required to address farmers’ needs.
