Purpose

The purpose of the sub-programme is to provide services for the prevention and control of animal diseases.  

Functions

1. Provide services to prevent and control outbreaks of animal diseases.
2. Provide epidemiology services.
3. Promote animal health awareness programmes
4. Provide risk analysis services.
5. Promote the protection of the animal and human population against identified zoonotic diseases and diseases of economic importance.
