A number of activities are on offer to the visitor. From hiking, mountain biking trails, a very interesting 4x4 trail (60km) and one may bring your own horses and ride on the reserve.
The reserve offers game viewing rides, picnic sites, angling areas, self-guided trails, huts, chalets, camping sites, bush camps and field ranger outposts.
The Oorlogskloof River, flows through a deep, spectacular gorge, carving its way through a layer of Table Mountain Sandstone and quartzite.
Historically cheetahs were found throughout Africa and Asia from South Africa to India. Today, an estimated 9,000 to 12,000 cheetahs remain in the wild in Africa.
At Doornkloof Nature Reserve, outdoor junkies can enjoy the two to three day Bokmakierie hiking trail (32 km). Angling is also popular at Roodewal (Zeekoei River).
