The Norther Cape MEC for Agriculture, Environmental Affairs, Land Reform and Rural Development, Ms. Mase Manopole, invites unemployed agricultural graduates to apply for the internship opportunities made available under the Unemployed Agricultural Graduates Entrepreneurial Development Programme (See advert below).
Unemployed Graduates Entrepreneurial Development Programme
This initiative will provide successful applicants with practical work experience that would assist in venturing into entrepreneurial projects related to agriculture, land reform and rural development.
The successful candidates will be appointed as interns for a two-year period and will undergo development training in technical, professional, business and life skills relevant for them to enter the job market or start their own enterprises. The interns will be placed on commercial farms to perform their duties.
Requirements:
- The initiative targets qualified unemployed graduates in agriculture between the ages of 18 to 35 years.
- Unemployed South African graduates in possession of a recognized Diploma/Degree in agriculture related fields.
- Candidates must be entering government internship programme for the first time.
- Private studying during the 24 months’ period of the programme will not be allowed.

The closing date for applications is 18 December 2020 and placements will be in all of the districts in the Northern Cape.
