MEC Mase Manopole is a Program Director at the Deputy President David Mabuza's engagement with Traditional and Khoi-San Leaders in the Northern Cape.Flanked by MEC Bentley Vass, of Co-operative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs; Deputy Minister Obed Bapela, of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs; Deputy Minister Mcebisi Skwatsha, from the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development, the Deputy President in his capacity as Chairperson of the Inter-Ministerial Task Team established to respond to issues raised by Traditional and Khoi-San Leaders, was welcomed by Kgosi Thabo Seatlholo, Deputy Chair of National House of Traditional and Khoi-San Leaders in Kathu, Gamagara Local Municipality.
On the 2nd of February 2022, President Cyril Ramaphosa took a decision to establish an inter-ministerial Task Team that will focus on the resolution of matters that Traditional Leaders have been raising with Government over time.
The engagement seek to strengthen the role of government and the institution of traditional leadership to represent communities, preserve cultural heritage and build our nation.
