MEC Manopole delivers on her mandate in the Pixley ka Seme District
The MEC for Agriculture,Environmental Affairs, Rural Development and Land Reform mme Mase Manopole has led the team for rabies vaccinations in Hopetown in the Pixley ka Seme District Municipal area.
The Department's Veterinary Services vaccinated 323 dogs and 11 cats for rabies in Hopetown.
Earlier, the MEC handed over agricultural food garden starter-packs, food hampers, and dust bins to the Steynville Primary School in the area. The good gesture by MEC Manopole is part of government's effort to encourage various communities, including schools, to plant their own vegetable gardens.
MEC Manopole highlighted that part of her mandate is to ensure that there is food security. The MEC further highlighted that her Department is collaborating with other stakeholders to ensure that challenges of food security are tackled head-on hence the gesture.
