MEC MANOPOLE'S ADDRESS AT RAISIN S.A'S VINE ACADEMY AND MODEL FARM
MEC Mase Manopole is delivering a keynote address at the Agriculture Graduate Symposium at Raisins SA's Vine Academy and Model Farm in Kakamas. With a special focus on objectives and target, intended outcomes, and the partnership expectations, MEC Manopole indicated that the graduation of more than 60 young people in the Agriculture Graduate on Farms for Entrepreneurial Development through CASP program, is an important milestone.
About 68 young agriculture graduates were put on the job training for two years, to gain entrepreneurial and business skills to enable them to establish and manage their own enterprises.
The Provincial Government made a commitment that during the young people's participation in the program, the Department will support the graduates to develop bankable business plans with the help of economists and other relevant experts .
MEC announced that, through the partnership with Raisins SA, 95% of interns were permanently placed with the host companies.
